Label "Steppin' Ahead" was born in Japan during the heyday of Dubstep.
It was a time when the mainstream was full of imitations of the original UK sound in Japan. Even though we were struggling through a clash with the mainstream, we continued to sell works that thoroughly drew out the uniqueness of each musician, and received better reviews in Europe and US than Japan.
The colorfulness and high quality of that sound is still significant even when heard next to today's mainstream music like Bass Music, Gorge, Beats, and also Psychedelic and darkside Jazz. and it makes you realize the importance of "originality" in music.
