ARI1010...his release has been long awaited, through his appearances on DJ Dolbee's mixtapes and KK "Vibration-Lo," and also from his super unique style at live shows, his poetic universe has been the topic among hip hop fetishes.
He is a deep poet, and at the same time, the aura of abnormality of his uniqueness is sure to win acclaim as a 'peculiar' talent amongst the next generation rappers. He is backed by KK, Mihara, DJ Dolbee, and Sugaya, Inc.Also making guest appearances are female prodigy Miroque, Dragons of Edin (eudai and Shrug), and Exam.

The first lead-project in three years, "Pure Fragments EP" is a mighty collection of works made during the past three years. Fat heavy-weight beats and various highly skilled drum programming are what make KK's beats so attractive. Subversive melodies and mechanic acoustic noise somehow present itself with undeniably thick "live" air. "Comin" precisely oscillates rugged drums, and "Echoes" drops heavy beats on your neck. Subtly fine bass programming runs "Peak," while "Combo" exhibits finely exact kick drum inlayed beautifully. "Distance" carves a thorough beat pattern. "Xizm" dynamically rings the triple drum composition in a profoundly deep air, and "Uzu" chops up the rhythm finely and precisely for your stereophonic L and R.... Rich ideas completed within the sampler adds to the color scheme of definite skill.

KK、3年振りのリーダー作となるこの「Pure Fragments EP」は、その後に作りためた曲で構成された渾身の作品集である。KKの魅力は、重量感ある太いビートと、多彩で技術的なドラム・プログラミングだ。不穏なメロディと機械的な音響ノイズとは、しかし厚みある＜生＞の空気を放っている。ラグドなドラムをしっかり刻む”comin’”、ズシリと首根にビートが落ちる”echoes”、微妙なベース・プログラミングでビートを走らせる”peak”、細かいキック・ドラムが見事にちりばめられた”combo”、シブいビート・パターンをじっくり刻む”distance”、奥行きある空気感にダイナミックな鳴りの3部構成ドラム”xizm”、リズムを左右でバラバラに刻む”uzu”…サンプラーのなかで完結した豊富なアイディアが、確かな技術力にさらなる彩りを与えている。

KK's first album. This historic piece features the Japanese underground's finest rappers and DJs,
and allows one to see the depth of the Japanese Hip-Hop scene in those days..
On the verbal tip, it features Kensho from San Fransisco, as well as Kei-Bomb (from Think Tank), ari1010,
wreckin' crew, and Torikabuto, who are all highly active in Japan even now.
Even though the language may be different, the current being of Japan's rap music
will be portrayed as hip-hop evolves continually as a world-wide culture.
Also, the instrumental tracks showcase his thick tracks as well as his unique sounds.
DMC Japan champion DJ Hangar, DMC Japan finalist DJ Tsuru, and very talented beat creators
DJ Dolbee and DJ Hisa participate to make this a true gem.
A terrific volume with 19 tracks, 73minutes of music.
